Sana Malik Shaikh is an architect, lawyer, and legislator from Mumbai, representing the Anushakti Nagar Assembly Constituency in the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly. Elected in 2024 as a member of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), she brings fresh leadership and a strong focus on community issues, continuing the legacy of her father, senior NCP leader and former Cabinet Minister Nawab Malik.

Early Life & Education

Born and raised in Mumbai, Sana completed her Bachelor of Architecture at Rizvi College of Architecture and went on to earn a Law degree (LL.B.) from Rizvi Law College, affiliated with the University of Mumbai. Trained as both an architect and lawyer, she combines professional expertise with a grassroots understanding of urban and social challenges.

Political Journey

Sana Malik Shaikh entered public life in 2017 when she contested the BMC elections from L ward, gaining early experience in municipal politics. She went on to serve as Vice-President of the Maharashtra State Rashtrawadi Yuvati Congress in 2020 and later as State Spokesperson for NCP Maharashtra. In 2024, she successfully contested the Maharashtra Assembly elections, defeating activist Fahad Ahmad to become one of 78 first-time MLAs.
